Where in Wycombe am I?
Last week’s answer: I was looking at the Dove Window in All Saint’s Church, so called as it was given in the 1930s by Frances Dove, the founder of both Wycombe Abbey (also its first headmistress) and Godstowe schools. The window itself was designed by a former Wycombe Abbey pupil and pays tribute to 32 of history’s most accomplished women, including Charlotte Brontë, Florence Nightingale, Christina Rosetti, Margaret Beaufort, Elizabeth Fry and Queen Victoria.
