Powered By Pigs In Blankets 🎄
Plus a doubles table tennis tournament, parent & child sound bath, Xmas Eve at the Wild Spa and much more.
Good morning, Wycombe!
It’s the Wycombe Pulse — fully submerged in the Christmas zone now. The kids are off school and plastered in temporary tattoos, I’ve lost all concept of what day it is, and am embracing a diet of Christmas cocktails and various sausage-related canapés.
Bliss.
Lots of fun in town this week, including…
🔥❄️ Christmas Eve session at the Wild Spa
🛼 Festive roller disco!
🌟 Service of 9 Lessons & Carols at All Saints
Plus Christmas concerts galore, plenty of kid-friendly fun to keep everyone going until the Big Day, a few wellness moments (trust me, you’ll need them), and lots more to ease you gently into the holidays.
Editor’s Highlights
🏓 Doubles Table Tennis Tournament

🧑🧒 Parent & Child Christmas Soundbath

A magical soundscape and bonding experience this Christmas, with a bedtime story and soothing sound bath.
🌟 Service of Nine Lessons & Carols
📍All Saints Church | 🗓 Sun 21st December, 5pm
A traditional service sung by the All Saints choir with congregational carols, telling the biblical story of Jesus’ birth.
🔥❄️ Christmas Eve Festive Relaxation Session
📍Slohaus Wild Spa, Peterley Manor Farm | 🗓 Weds 24th December, 10am
A communal session where you’ll be able to use the wood fired sauna, cold tubs, hot tub, cold shower and fire pit. A fantastic way to relax before the big day…
Next Week… And The Week After.
Next Thursday is Christmas Day — and if all goes to plan, I’ll be far too full of pigs-in-blankets and eggnog to type a coherent sentence, let alone produce a newsletter. So I’m taking a tiny festive pause.
The following Thursday is New Year’s Day, and the events calendar is looking very bare for the first few days of January — not quite enough for a full Pulse.
So there’ll be no newsletter for the next two weeks, but I’ll be back in your inbox on Thursday 8 January, bright-eyed, caffeinated, and ready to take on 2026.

ℹ️ Join Hanae Harmony for a late night special ✨

We were invited along this week and it’s everything you want from a proper Christmas panto: laugh-out-loud jokes, genuinely impressive singing (yes, including Mark Read from A1 👀), spot-on local references (sorry, Wycombe Museum 🫣) and big festive energy from start to finish.
Stand-out moments:
⭐ La Voix — pure sass and wit, even an orthopaedic boot couldn’t slow her down
😈 Jo Osmond — a gloriously fun villain
😂 Matt Edwards — expertly toeing the fine line between hilarious and just a bit gross
This one genuinely works for all ages — my kids (6 & 4) were hooked, and my 60-something mother-in-law was laughing just as hard.
A Wycombe tradition for a reason 💚
