Business Spotlight: Baked In Bucks
I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a box of brownies and other baked delights from Baked in Bucks this week. Let me tell you… it was good.

Shall I compare thee to a Summer’s Day? Thou art more lovely and more scrumptious.
I created my own box, where you choose 4 different bakes (you get 2 of each — sharing optional).
My line-up included the Mini Egg Millionaire Shortbread (Easter-iffic), White Chocolate Blondie (deliciously cakey and a huge hit with the kids), Biscoff Brownie (decadent, gooey, spiritual experience), and — my personal favourite — Bakewell Blondie (jammy, not too sweet, perfectly subtle almond flavour).
Check out the video if you want to see them up close.
They’re based in Hazlemere for local pick-up, but they also post nationwide — ideal for gifting, or sending one to yourself and pretending it's from a secret admirer.

Community Notes
VOTING: Just in case you’ve missed the deluge of flyers through your door, today is voting day for the election of councillors to Buckinghamshire Council. Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm today — just remember to take some ID with you. And ideally your polling card.
COOKERY COURSE: Cooking Healthy Meals Using an Airfryer is a FREE (according to eligibility) course offered by Buckinghamshire Adult Learning, from Tuesday 6th May to Tuesday 15th July (10 sessions). If you complete all the sessions you will be able to take the air fryer home with you.
House of the Week 🏡
You’ll find it just off West Wycombe Road, on for a robust £700,000…

That’s right, I’m back trawling Rightmove like it’s a second job.
This 4-bed detached looks like one thing from the outside but something quite different on the interior. Check out those beams! That’s just the right amount of character for my Goldilocks taste. A interesting juxtaposition between the modern finish and the traditional bones of the house.
I’m also a big fan of the lower ground reception room. Although if my family ended up being the new owners, my husband and I would have big dreams of turning it into a snug or games room, only for the kids to roll in and stake their territory with the Barbie Dreamhouse.
Take a look at the Rightmove link if you want to see more.
