Wycombe Pulse here — currently knee-deep in World Book Day paraphernalia and fresh off a heated debate about whether Elsa from Frozen counts as a book character. Spoiler: I lost. Despite being completely right.

Business News
Good news for Muffin Break fans ☕ — the Eden Centre café has had a £50,000 glow-up and reopens on 7th March. Think brighter interiors, new furniture, and a fresher feel. They've also just signed a new 10-year lease — a nice vote of confidence in the town.
Spindle and Thread are reopening on Weds 11th March after a refurbishment. They're promising a whole new look: a Locals' Bar with live sport, pool, darts and events, plus a Family Lounge section too.
Community Notes
The Easton Street car park is (probably) coming down 🏗️
Big news for the town centre: Bucks Council is set to permanently close and demolish the Easton Street multi-storey, with a final decision at Cabinet on 10th March.
The 1960s concrete block has been on borrowed time — structural issues forced the closure of floors 6–12 and the lifts last year, and a full fix would cost upwards of £3m. Running at a £253k annual loss, the case for demolition is clear.
Swan and Railway Place car parks both have spare capacity to pick up the slack. And longer term, the site is earmarked as a cornerstone of the Easton Quarter regeneration vision — think homes, commercial space, proper public areas.
