🎈New Soft Play & the Return of Beating the Bounds

Plus my review of Double Indemnity at the Swan, a free Kumon assessment for kids 3-16, Wycombe history evening and more.

Good morning, Wycombe!

I’m writing this in the garden, in full-tilt basking mode β˜€οΈ All I need is a crisp glass of Sancerre and I’m living my best life.

And while the weather’s doing its thing, Wycombe’s got plenty going on too. A few highlights this week:

πŸ›οΈThe historic Beating of the Bounds ceremony returns!
πŸ‘Ά Brand new soft play opening…
🎭 My review of Double Indemnity at the Swan

Plus the final pieces of Easter holiday fun, sound baths, spring watch, free Maths & English assessments for 3-16 year olds, and much more.

πŸŽ‰ Entertainment

Film noir comes to Wycombe Swan β€” my review of Double Indemnity

A femme fatale. A perfect murder plot. And Mischa Barton doing her best to steal the show. Double Indemnity is a gripping two-hour slice of 1930s LA crime noir β€” morally murky, sharply staged, and genuinely unsettling in the best possible way. We were at opening night and it did not disappoint. 🎭
