High Wycombe's grassroots comedy club is back for April, and it's got a cracking line-up.

Run by local legend and award-nominated comedian Elliot Wengler, Select Comedy has already built a reputation for proper nights out at Patch — and this one promises to be no different.

🎭 Headliner: Katie Pritchard — multi-award-winning comedian, actor, and musician. As seen on Harry Hill's Clubnite and at festivals across the UK. A proper powerhouse. Don't miss her.

We visited Rosie’s Petal Patch at the weekend — a beautiful flower farm on the West Wycombe estate. You’ll find it at the far end of the car park from Clara’s Corner and the Walled Garden. Large beds of seasonal flowers, a potting shed stocked with homegrown plants, local fungi, honey bee cosmetics and more.

I booked a Junior Farmers session, which went down a treat. The potion-making station was a real hit, and there’s a good range of activities for different ages — including cutting flowers. My 4-year old was delighted to be let loose with scissors 🙃

Big news from High Wycombe Cricket Club — they’ve taken over the lease at Knotty Green Cricket Club. The site will become a hub for women’s and girls’ cricket, junior players and community initiatives.

Big news for fans of the Air Raid Café and Tea Room — they’ve found a new home. After closing their much-loved Frogmoor spot last year, the team has announced a new site in Bucks, complete with a garden and car park. Follow them on Instagram for updates. ☕

Have your say on High Wycombe’s Conservation Area 🏛️

Bucks Council is consulting on plans to redraw and expand High Wycombe’s Conservation Area — merging four separate areas into one and adding new sites including the Victorian Cemetery and some of the town’s oldest workers’ cottages.

Your response matters — so if you care about protecting the town’s heritage, please add your voice. Head to YourVoice Bucks before 11.59pm on Sunday 12th April.

Wycombe Rye Lido: what's going on

Fusion Lifestyle, the charity that runs Wycombe Rye Lido, has entered administration. But before you panic — the Lido isn't closing. Bucks Council has been working behind the scenes to keep things running as normal while longer-term plans are sorted.

More news on a future operator when it's available. We'll keep you posted. 👀

The NHS is buying the Queen Victoria Road site 🏥

Big news for the town centre — Bucks Council has sold the Queen Victoria Road former council offices site to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

The plan? A neighbourhood health hub, bringing GP and community services together in one place. The historic façade will be kept intact, with any redevelopment happening behind it. Watch this space.
