🎩 Mayor Making Ceremony – Saturday 24th May 🇬🇧
High Wycombe’s quirkiest tradition is back!

Dating back to medieval times, the annual Mayor Making ceremony is a uniquely Wycombe affair. The last mayor will be ‘tolled out’ and the new one — this year, Cllr Majid Hussain — ‘weighed in’, a long-standing tradition to ensure they haven’t gained weight at the taxpayers’ expense.

📍 Saturday 25th May, High Street (at the Guildhall)
🕚 Festivities run from 11am–4pm
🕰️ Weighing ceremony begins at 11.40am

Expect free children’s crafts and workshops, roaming entertainers, giant games and plenty of community spirit.

Wycombe Eats

The Lounge (formerly The Brunch Lounge, opposite TK Maxx) has moved into new, larger premises just a few units down in the Eden Centre. I can’t wait to check them out — have had some epic brunches here in the past!

My daughter and I checked out the brand new Frurt last week for some delicious tubs of frozen yoghurt. Absolutely delicious and a perfectly refreshing snack for summer. Make sure you give them a try — you’ll find them opposite Wycombe Food Hub in Queens Square.

Mango froyo, fresh strawberries, coconut… 🤤
