Business News
We were really sorry to hear that the Air Raid Café and Collectables R Us will both be closing later this year. These two businesses have brought so much character to High Wycombe town centre and their closures will be a real loss to the street scene here.
Unique spots like these make the town more than just a place to shop — they create experiences, spark nostalgia, and even bring the community together.
It raises bigger questions about the future of independent businesses in Wycombe and serves as a reminder of how important it is to support our independents. The town centre is evolving, and while change is inevitable, we hope to see more initiatives that champion and sustain the small businesses that give Wycombe its unique character.
We wish the people behind Air Raid and Collectables the best of luck with their next endeavours, and hope we see them again soon! Please support them however you can before they do shut their doors.
In happier news, The Front Room on Castle Street will now be open until late on Friday and Saturday nights with a brand spanking new cocktail menu and live music events aplenty.
We can’t wait to check it out 🥳

Where in Wycombe Am I?

Last week’s answer: I was in the corridor running underneath the Wycombe Swan with the stage door right at the end. We’ve seen people queuing here before after a show, waiting for a selfie with their favourite comedian or, invariably, Vernon Kay come panto season. We’ll be running a giveaway soon for 2 tickets to see an upcoming show — keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram page!
Weather in Wycombe
The snowdrops have been getting me all excited for Spring… and then I’m brought swiftly back down to earth as soon as I step out into that February chill.
