Plus the Young Farmers' Country Show, a jazz show for kids, street food night and more.

Good Morning, Wycombe!

It’s the Wycombe Pulse. Your weekly newsletter that’s fully on board with L.M. Montgomery’s take on June: “…the pearl of summer, shining with warmth and joy.”

Just a few days to go 😎

As May bows out, the fun’s still rolling in:

  • Live jazz for kids and grown-ups 🎷

  • Badger Watch with the Chiltern Rangers 🦡

  • Vintage pop-up boutique right in the town centre 🛍️

Plus the remainder of the half term fun, street food night, a beer and cider fest, wellness events, live music, and much more.

Family Fun

🐛We had so much fun on the Hungry Caterpillar trail at Cliveden this week! 🔎

With colourful story stops, activities to keep little ones busy, and plenty of space to run around, it’s the perfect way to combine fresh air and fun. And yes, the ice cream at the end definitely helped.

😋 Wycombe Eats

Calling all baklava fans!

I stopped by Turkish Desserts on the Desborough Road (just opposite the Arts Centre) the other day following a tip-off about some seriously good sweet treats. And they weren’t wrong.

Bought 2 - one of which was originally intended for my husband but I immediately ate both. #GreatWife

Perfectly flaky, stuffed with pistachio and steeped in honey. Just divine.

The San Sebastien cheesecake is also a winner with its creamy, melt-in-the-middle texture, and I picked up some delicious Dubai chocolate while I was there too.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re after some authentic Turkish treats.
